Resources for Women In Cyber

March 8 was International Women’s Day. And many countries celebrate March as Women’s History Month. At PCGL, we do not need a specific day or month to recognize specific communities. However, we do want to take the opportunity to share a few international resources that women may find useful as you explore and develop your cybersecurity expertise and career path. 

  1. Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu (WSC)
    An international nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness of cybersecurity career opportunities and advancement for women in the field 
  2. WiCSME (Women in Cyber Security Middle East)
    A volunteer group formed to promote and increase women’s participation in the field of cybersecurity
  3. WiCyS
    A global community of women, allies, and advocates dedicated to bringing talented women together to celebrate and foster their passion and drive for cybersecurity
  4. ShaktiCon
    A free global conference focused on inspiring, training, and upskilling women in cybersecurity
  5. SheHacksKE
    A community of women in cybersecurity from various backgrounds and counties in Kenya coming together to purposefully provide an avenue of interaction, growth in knowledge and skill set, and successfully pave a career path in the cybersecurity industry
  6. Women in Cyber Wales
    Welsh organization providing networking and support for women working in the cybersecurity industry
  7. BlackGirlsHack
    Nonprofit that provides resources, training, mentoring, and access to Black girls and women and increases representation and diversity in the cybersecurity field and in the executive suites
  8. Girls Who Code 
    An international nonprofit organization working to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does
  9. She Secures
    A global online and offline community for women professionals and enthusiasts in cybersecurity
  10. Latinas in Cyber
    U.S.-based membership organization created by Latina cybersecurity professionals offering a community of mentorship, networking, support, and representation
  11. SEIDEA – BME Women in Cybersecurity 
    A career development platform with a social mission to diversify the cybersecurity industry globally and break down barriers for Black and minority ethnic women
  12. WOMCY
    Nonprofit organization and community that promotes the professional development and participation of all Latin women in cybersecurity topics
  13. Australian Women in Security Network
    A not-for-profit association and network of people aimed at increasing the number of women in the security community
